Meet artist, poet, and painter Amber Vittoria.

Describe what you do: I am an artist, poet, and painter, and I aim to create abstract works inspired by human emotion and our lived experiences. 

Describe a typical day for you: In the mornings, I try to go for a walk, then come back to my studio, tackle emails, then work on client projects, then paint!

Name a book that you read recently and loved: I loved Little Weirds by Jenny Slate. Anything with a touch of surreal or abstraction really resonates with me. 

Favorite snack: Currently, frozen blueberries!
Favorite color combination: Cad red, light yellow, emerald, and cerulean

What is your most treasured possession? My national parks vest - it has patches of every US national park I’ve visited thus far.

What inspired you to design blankets with Biquette?
Having artwork on useful/ necessary objects is something that brings me joy; everyone deserves art in their homes, and an accessible way to bring artwork into your space is through objects you use on a daily basis, like blankets.

The inspiration for this collection is bold, simple shapes, forms that bring comfort, joy, and color into your space.

Is there a particular message or theme you hope to convey through this collection?
The theme is to enjoy the complexity of simplicity, that the most beautiful nuance can be found in the straightforward.

Worry is living in the future; try to live more in the present.
