Holsen Studio

Holsen Studio is a collaborative duo made up of illustrators Hannah Tolson and Olivia Holden, based in the north of England, UK. It’s our playful outlet to create nice things - on paper, on wood, and now blankets!

How would you describe your style or creative process? We work on our own designs but collaborate under similar themes and colour palettes, so there’s distinct styles with a complimentary crossover. 

What inspired the original piece(s) that we turned into blankets? Both designs started out as greetings cards to celebrate a joyful occasion and love. I usually lean towards using flora and fauna in my work so there’s quite often happy little bug characters that pop up.

What do you hope people feel when they see or use your blanket? Joy! I hope both are joyful celebrations for little ones and a loved ones.
