Made with expert craftsmanship, our throw blankets and scarves are knitted in New York at one of the last few knitting mills remaining in North America. Local and slow production eliminate the need for long-distance shipping, ensuring a much smaller carbon footprint and a streamlined and near-zero-waste manufacturing process.
Better knit blankets, less impact on the planet and the people who live on it. We believe that quality and durability, combined with made-to-order production, ensure minimal waste. We only make what we sell! By using premium natural fibers, we make sure our blankets do not contribute to microplastic pollution. Unlike recycled cotton which is often touted as a green alternative, but is actually made with a blend of polyester.
We only use three kinds of fibers: Merino wool which is naturally anti-bacterial, breathable, itch-free and low pilling, Organic cotton which is free of pesticides, chemicals, and is gentle on sensitive skin and Egyptian cotton which is unrivaled in softness, cool to the touch and very durable. The good news? All three are low maintenance: machine-wash on delicate and tumble dry low. No ironing needed!

Love these baby blankets !
I’ve been searching for a long time for a quality baby blanket and the Biquette hit the mark for soft, durable, good design and if can be personalized!
It was love at first sight when I saw this blanket at tbe Artist and Fleas market in Williamsburg. Chris, the lovely sales person at the market was super helpful and thanks to her I can now have it on my wall in Portugal. Thank you very much ❤️
I had spotted this blanket (Zora) in Williamsburg but impossible to bring it back to France by plane! I was quite disapointed so back home I ordered it through the website.

What even is Biquette? What do you make?
Why hello! We are a small, made-to-order, artist-forward company and we make all kinds of knitted products, but our specialty is blankets: our knit blankets, be it a cotton blanket or a wool blanket, are truly a statement piece in your home decor. And most of our designs can be personalized to make your customized blanket truly yours!
We introduced our first collection of scarves back in 2023 and have more in store for the coming seasons. We’re also working on brand new home accessories, nursery decor and more! Stay tuned and get on our mailing list to get the scoop.
Who designs Biquette’s knit blankets?
We believe in supporting emerging artists by promoting their work and paying them fairly, which is why we do royalty-based collaborations with a collective of talented artists, illustrators and designers from all over the world. Each collaboration brings to the public an original work of art from a different artist in the form of knit blankets, and we launch new designs every few weeks to keep things fresh and exciting.
What is a Biquette soft knit blanket made of?
Ethically manufactured on Long Island, New York, each organic cotton blanket or wool blanket is knitted from natural fibers only: 100% cotton (either organic cotton or Egyptian cotton) and ultra-soft itch-free Merino wool. We do not use man-made materials such as acrylic wool or polyester blends, because we hate landfills and micro plastics!

Our knit blankets are carefully and proudly crafted in New York by our expert team, at one of the few remaining operational knitting mills.
And it is thanks to US manufacturing that we can eliminate the need for long-distance shipping, ensuring a much smaller carbon footprint in our constant quest for sustainable manufacturing.
I’d like to create a customized blanket, how does it work?
Our personalized baby blankets and custom wedding blankets can be customized with the initials, name, nickname, date or text of your own choosing. Those designs have a “personalize me” tag and each will specify the number of letters that can be added. All you’ll need to do is enter your personalized text at checkout in the order notes. Do you have a store?
True, online shopping is fun and doesn’t require pants, but it can be hard to get a true sense of how something is going to feel or look through a screen, which is why we work hard to ship your orders out within 5 business days. If you live in the NY region, lucky you! You can visit us in person at the Artists and Fleas market in Williamsburg, Brooklyn every weekend, where we have our own pop-up shop and where you’ll be able to touch our blankets and feel their quality in real life. We’re also in a few select stores, like Ours in Philadelphia.
