Meet one-of-a-kind ceramics artist, Toni Darling Frank.
Describe what you do: I’m an artist who works primarily with ceramics. I run my own business selling the items I make, as well as doing some design work and collaborations with artists and companies who specialize in other mediums!
Where do you live? Where do you work? I live in Toronto, ON, Canada, and I have a tiny little studio space just up the road from my apartment.
Describe a typical day for you: A typical day will start with choking down some breakfast, having a coffee with my boyfriend, and heading by bike to my studio. I’ll usually work well in to the evening. Sometimes I glaze all day, sometimes I make pottery, and some days I just chip away at the ever growing mound of emails in my inbox.
Favorite snack: Sour candy
Favorite color combination: Orange and Green :-)
What is your most treasured possession? This is so hard to answer! I have acquired so many special things over the years, but it might be my horse lamp. It’s a weird little wooden lamp carved in to the shape of a horse’s head that I love very much.
What is the best piece of advice someone ever gave you? Eat lunch.
