The New Bloom Blanket by artist Katharine Watson is the perfect floral throw blanket designed to last beyond the fleeting seasons. Combining her passion for working with linocuts and growing flowers in her garden, Katharine has designed a fun floral child’s blanket fit for the whole family to enjoy. Made from 100% Egyptian cotton. Machine washable for easy care. 

Our midi size knit throw blankets are just right for curling up in a chair, layering over your lap, or taking along on the go. Cozy without the bulk, they’re perfect for travel, reading, and relaxed moments at home.

About The Artist

Katharine began exploring her connection to art at a young age, and her curiosity has followed her from continent to continent. Born in New York, raised in London and Hong Kong, and eventually settling in Portland, Maine, Katharine’s creative perspective is informed by a life in motion.

As a student at Kenyon College, Katharine fell in love with the history and opportunity that are inherent to printmaking. She approaches most projects the same way, beginning with a sketch that is translated to a linoleum block and then carved by hand. She later prints these designs onto stationery, textiles, ceramics, and other beautiful, usable, everyday goods. Katharine demonstrates her love for the important traditions of printmaking through persistent experimentation within the form. It's her way of honoring and passing the craft from her own home to yours.

When Katharine’s not in the studio, she can be found out on the water, in her garden, or poring over the latest in architecture and design with a cup of jasmine tea.
Care Instructions

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and tumble dry in low temperature. Iron on medium temperature if desired.

Every blanket and scarf is made-to-order and will ship within 5 business days from our facility in New York. You will receive a notification with a tracking number.

RETURNS

We want you to love your new blanket, but we understand that sometimes things don't work out. That's why we offer free returns and exchanges within 15 days of receipt in the US.

For international orders, we also offer returns and exchanges, but customers are responsible for the cost of returning the item. We want all of our customers to feel confident and happy with their purchase, no matter where they are in the world.

All personalized blankets are final sale.

To start a return, you can contact us at info@biquette.com.  Once your request is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, for you to drop the package at your nearest UPS Store (or Fedex Store).
